This poster We Are the Mosaic was part of the 2023 UCDA Student Design Initiative - Same Difference. It asked participants to design something that would encourage people to think of a more positive future where we are more united and integrated as a people. Throughout history the aspects that separate us have been used to promote horrible acts. I wanted to make something that had people coming together because our lives are only more enriched by the experiences we share with others. The people twist around together in a mass of color that creates a rainbow of texture that still compliments each other despite the differences. America was called a melting pot and immigrants were often encouraged to lose traits of their home to integrate faster. But when everyone keeps their own traits we can create something wonderful that never existed before.
The project received an Honorable Mention.
